All 4 of my daughters have asked me to paint their pupils which I have reluctantly done but was wondering if any of you have painted in your daughters pupils and if not why not and if so why so? ^^;

        I'm pretty sure it's a DDdy body with a customized standard L bust. I know this person's blog and he makes tons of body part customization. (noticed how this Ryomou has both eyes open, he showed how he opened up the closed eye on his blog, pretty cool). I just went to re-check this post on his blog and he wrote "DDdyの下半身とDDⅡL胸" so that confirms my guess too.

      I don't know if it's ok for me to post the link of the person's blog here? But that's what he wrote (in japanese) on his blog.

    I have not painted any nipples on any of my dolls. In my opinion it is unnecessary, I don't look at or display my dolls naked and I don't get any kind of sexual or perverted pleasures from them. Also its a hassle because if you don't coat the bust properly then it could stain, which may effect future resale value. Also it is a process that eventually needs removing and repeating because it will chip and wear away over time, so will need redoing.

    The main thing that annoys me about it is that most people do it under the excuse of 'making it look more realistic'. But then they go and make the nipples an unrealistic colour. Most real girls don't have bright pink or peachy nipples. It's such a pet peeve of mine!

        I've seen horrible things done to dolls. Some people use felt tips, marker pens and highlighters on the dolls, in most cases this will stain the doll to the point of no return, but in some cases it has been known to physically damage the doll too. Also I've seen people use cheap, poor quality paints which can also have unwanted results. Also some people use actual woman's make up on doll, real make up you buy from beauty stores. This is a big BIG no no.

        For anyone intending to do any sort of painting on your dolls, you should first use a clear coat of Mr Super Clear flat to protect the doll, then use high quality trusted products for painting. For details on the eyes, water colour pencils and acrylic paints are ideal. For adding details like blush, shading and nipples, use soft pastels, shave them with a blade, then use a soft brush to gently apply it. It will apply in a similar way to a woman applying powdered make up.

            I've heard that it can cause discolouration and staining. I saw a picture once where the doll had horrible oily looking patches on its eyes because someone used real make up on it =( I think it's worse in the case of resin dolls, but it's probably just best to avoid it full stop imo.

            real make up tends to have oils in them which can stain the doll's resin or vinyl.

    Did not paint any pupils on any of my doll's bust, but might in the future on some of them, when i'll get good at painting anything with an airbrush... I'd rather try to make nicer nipples on my stained M bust, since this bust is pretty nipple-less. I'd be afraid of staining not only the doll, but also her clothes, i'd only paint anything or sculpt nipples if i'm sure it won't damage anything.

    I'm quite curious about Yoko's Dynamite body being nipple-less. Though the mold for Dynamite bust would be quite generic, didn't though they'd made a custom one for Yoko.

    I don't really care for nipples on dolls, but if I had a doll with nipples then I definitely wouldn't paint them... it just seems a little... I don't know, awkward? haha.

    Also, as I just started really keeping with DC and figure.fm recently I hadn't really noticed it until now, but... am I the only one kind of bugged by the referencing boobs as "eyes" and nipples as "pupils"??? I just... don't get it, I guess.

      Self-censoring. Personally, I actually don't mind referring to it that way.

      I don't know Danny's reason for it, but to me makes sense. Most male's eyes will go to a girls chest (sorry ladies ^^;) so...yeah...and eyes have to have pupils. I guess it just makes sense to me thinking about it that way ^^;;;

          Yup. It indeed has to do with Google. Certain words cause Google to ignore/push it further down the search list, I think. Might also cause Google Adsense and the like to ban your site, though I'm no longer clear on the details. It's one of the older DC posts.

            Juicy is right.. Its nature that makes us do it.. Not any conscious thing. We literally just look, And a good percentage of the time.. We usually have absolutely no opinion on what we see.

            And I think I can fairly honestly say, Guys unconsciously do the same thing to other guys. Its a sizing up sort of thing in that regard, but for women its an unconscious reaction to many generations of humans needing to breed.

    I didn't paint any of their "pupils" since I don't really care much. I find it interesting how others (I guess mostly male owners) make theirs look very realistic, but I always display and take pictures of my daughters when they are clothed. The only time I see the "pupils" is when I'm changing clothes. Before I'd paint the pupils I would give them a manucure and a pedicure. But considering the numbers I have, and the extra hand sets, it would be too time consuming so I don't bother hehe.
